There are many different sites that will earn you money by writing for them. Each site has their way of earning you money for writing. Some sites will place Google AdSense advertisement on your article page and you share Google revenue each time someone clicks on an ad. Other sites will pay you for each article, while others will pay you for page views. This guide will help you get started on a few sites that will earn you a residual income. How much you make is going to depend how much time you can spend writing.

1. Site#1: eHow- This is a great site to start writing. Since this is an instructional site on “How to” do things, this will be the best site to start with. You earn money by the number of article views as well as ratings.
2. Site#2: Associated Content- This is another good site that can earn you money for each article you submit for an up-front payment. Your article will have to contain at least 400 words or more and be approved for up-front payment by a content manager. You also earn residual income for page views as well, on all your articles. 3. Site#3: HubPages- On this site you can create as many pages (hubs) as you like on different topics of interest. Each page has the potential to earn you money with AdSense ads, Amazon Affiliate Program, and eBay Affiliate Program. Since Hubpages already are crawled by search engines, there is no need to submit your Hubpages to search engines. 4. Site#4: Helium- This site can earn you money in many different ways. In their Market Place you can submit articles on specific topics and if you’re article is selected you can earn anywhere from $20.00 to $200.00. 7. Tip: You can register for your free Google AdSense account once you sign up for your Hubpage account. You can then use your Google AdSense account for other sites that require one.

Passive income is defined as money earned from an enterprise that continues to make money with little or no further effort after the initial work is done. Keep in mind that you will have to do the initial work to launch the enterprise, but after it is done, the income will flow to you relatively effortlessly. Learn how to use the internet to set up multiple streams of passive income.

Instructions

1. Write and sell an eBook. eBooks are very popular since they are easily transmitted and cost virtually nothing to produce – just your time. You will need a venue to sell your eBook, such as a website, through Amazon Kindle, or through a digital download site like e-Junkie. Read my other articles titled, “How to Write an eBook to Sell Online,” and “How to Market an eBook Online.” I have written many eBooks and they provide a healthy income stream.
2. Write articles for eHow. You will not see results immediately, but many authors here earn over $1,000 a month from their articles. Check the eHow Forums and eHow Groups for helpful tips from successful authors.
3. Write articles for Bukisa. This is a new site that also pays for your articles. Visit the site for more information.
4. Do product reviews. Do the review once, and earn money forever based on page views and ratings. Check sites like ExpoTV, Review Stream, and ePinions. (See my article, “How to Make Money Reviewing Products.”
5. Start a membership site. Are you passionate or knowledgeable about a particular topic or niche product? If so, you can start a membership site where members pay to access exclusive information you provide in a password protected area. Set up the site once, and collect the membership fees each month.
6. Create a blog. Millions of people make money blogging. You can earn passive income by placing all kinds of affiliate programs and Google AdSense on your blog. Popular affiliate programs include Amazon Associates and The eBay Affiliate Program. Many small entrepreneurs also offer affiliate programs for their products, eBooks, and membership sites. You can also sell advertising space to other bloggers. You will have to post on the blog frequently to attract visitors.
7. Write and self-publish a book thru a self-publishing company with print on demand service. You will pay a company to a one time fee to print and promote your book. The company I used, iUniverse, pushed my book out to over 250 websites. I didn’t have to promote it online, yet I get a nice check every quarter from the online sales.

• Allow time for your passive income streams to develop. It may take several months to a year for earnings to start coming in.
• Try different things to earn passive income – don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
